Students Learn How to Teach at Amna Dance

As part of the Amna Dance Teacher's Assistant Program (TAP), our TA's are provided weekly assignments to facilitate and foster each TA's growth as dancers, students and teachers. One of the assignments consisted of sharing their thoughts on our TAP program and their experience thus far. We would like to share what out fabulous TA, Natasha Shetty had to say (Laguna Youth Level 2, 12 yrs old):

I really enjoy dancing in Amna Dance. I've loved dancing ever since I was 5 years old. That was when I took ballet and tap dance. When I moved to California, I wanted to fulfill my dream of dancing in a recital. My mom signed me up for Amna Dance, and as soon as I stepped into the class is was ready to dance. I have recently started to assist Ms. Amna in teaching one of her younger kids class. I joined the TAP Program because I wanted to learn to become a better dancer. I wanted to learn to be a great teacher towards kids. Joining AMNA Dance is really strengthening my leadership skills. I really like how AMNA Dance using teaching methods with the little kids like when you are teaching a step, you have to make the child use their imagination to solve the step. I'm really glad that I decided to join AMNA Dance TA Program. :)~Natasha Shetty
